Operated by the Town of Freeport, Winslow Park offers a beautiful camping facility in South Freeport. It's the kind of place where I'd be quite happy for a week or two with a good supply of books.

Located
on a peninsula, the park has a nice walking trail all around the campground.
At the end of the peninsula, you can see the harbor at Freeport. An
aside: a great place to eat is Harraseeket Lobster Pound. |
