As you turn into the campground, right ahead of you is the office, laundry, and bathhouse. Rusty and her crew are friendly, professional folks who quickly got us registered and settled on our site.

Date of visit: Mar 2008

Sites at Rusty's are huge, averaging 200' in length. We were assigned to site 1.

Not a lot of shade here, but they have planted some trees and in a few years there will be quite an improvement.

All around the horizon are mountains. This is looking northeast in the late afternoon.

You can see how much space there is here.

The only downside is that sites are paired, so you might have a fairly close neighbor. In fairness, though, the hookups are staggered a bit, so you won't be directly beside your neighbor, but rather diagonally ahead or behind him. This shows sites 39 and 40.
Rusty is working hard to create an oasis at her RV Ranch. This is a good-sized pond she has built that is home to several ducks. There's a small, treed island in the middle which attracts a variety of birds.
As the afternoon sun sinks lower, the mountains to the east become ever more scenic.
An interesting plant we found near the entrance to the campground.

Beside the office, Rusty is working on a large garden area with a small pond and brook, and a paved walkway through it. This gnome finds it a comforting place to meditate.

As I got up in the morning, I happened to look out the window just in time to catch the setting full moon (left). Note, too, that we had fellow Lazy Daze neighbors..
The early morning light bathes the Chiricahua Mountains behind the campground.

Rusty's RV Ranch, Rodeo NM

Rusty's RV Ranch is located 6 miles north of Rodeo NM, just 1/2 mile north of the Hwy 80 and Hwy 9 intersection. It's a full-service campground with all the necessities. We enjoyed our overnight stay at Rusty's. It didn't feel like a private campground, which is a big plus in our minds.
