Panther Creek

	We arrived on the Thursday before Easter Weekend, but thanks to Tennessee's current no-reservations policy, we had no problem finding a site. We liked #47 for its high vantage point overlooking the campground. Date of visit: Apr 07

	The kids would love sites 2, 4, and 6, with the small stream running just behind them.
	Interesting bathhouse design - little boxes with a large pavilion in the middle. The boxes are heated and offer hot showers and a laundry room. As you can see, we arrived just as the dogwoods were blooming forth.
	The pavilion at the Upper Bathhouse contains this community fireplace.
	A short walk from the campground is a large, well-equipped playground.
	From Memorial Day to mid-August, park visitors can enjoy the large swimming and wading pools.
	A good walk from the campground brings you to this overlook of Cherokee Lake.

	We awoke our second morning here to find the grass covered with snow, and flakes kept drifting down until noon. The low temperature of 27 degrees really did a job on the dogwood blossoms.
