We got lucky on this visit - we called just before lunch from Vidalia, LA, and were told there was one site available. First come/first served, they said. So we hustled up the road and found #15 still empty. Needless to say, we took it !! Date of visit: Mar 07 |

Sites
1-21 are in the Old Campground, and are fairly typical of older CG's.
Not really designed for big rigs, but there are a few on which one
could squeeze. These sites are mostly wooded, but I did manage to
set up our TV satellite dish. |

Sites
1-6 (#6 in front) offer full E/W/S hookups. |

Lookin g down the road, with site 7 at left. |

The bathhouse is adequate with hot showers. Privacy when showering is minimal. |

Over in
the new CG are sites 23-48. 22 is at the right, with 23 beyond; 49
at the left foreground. |

The class
C is on site 36. Just visible beyond it is the lake. |

There are 2 pull-through sites in the New CG - this shows 43 on the left. There are also two double sites, 38 and 47, which would be great for friends camping together. |

The New
CG offers a more modern bathhouse...with privacy! |

Ten cabins
on the far side of the lake can be rented. |

The park
office is located well inside the park...past both campgrounds. It's
rather confusing to first-time visitors, trying to figure out where
to go to register for a campsite. |

Notes 50 camp sites with E/W (6 with E/W/S) Verizon Wireless Extended Network Service |
Reservations
for the New CG are made through ReserveAmerica; for the Old CG, one
deals directly with the park. There is also a small primitive CG area
that appears to be used for overflow. |
