Site #26 is one of our favorite sites here - it gets a little more sun than most.

This picture is representative of camp sites throughout the park. All are shaded and offer electric and water hookups. There are a few sites with sewer connections and there is a dump station.
This is the newest of several bath-houses. It includes a laundry room along with clean reastrooms and hot showers.
Fisher-people enjoy the long fishing pier at the park.
Since the campground is the woods, we usually drive out to the parking lot by the pier to enjoy the sunshine for the day.
Just about across Highway 17 from the state park is the local airport, formerly Myrtle Beach AFB. Thus one sees and hears a lot of aircraft activity. At least they're not directly overhead!
An interesting feature of Myrtle Beach SP is the provision of a staging area for horseback riders. There's a large parking area with a trail that connects to the beach.
Miles of beach are available for walking as well as riding.

There are several nature trails within the park. Along one is a small pond where I found these ducks.
