The FAMCAMP does not accept reservations, so before entering the base, we stopped on the side of US-90 and called to see if any sites were available. Gary said there were several W/E sites available, so we entered the base through the Growden Gate and found our way to the RV park.  We liked site 41 at the end of the row.

The 12 sites (sites 30-41) with just W/E hookups are newer sites and as yet don't have much shade.  The sites have a very hard-packed gravel surface and have a very slight tilt down toward the rear.
