This year we decided to make a reservation for Thanksgiving week. Upon arrival, we were assigned to site B-4, up near the office end of the campground. Date of visit: Nov 2009 |

In 2008 we had called a couple of days prior to our expected arrival in December and had no problem getting a reservation. Although reservations are not for particular sites, we found ourselves on C-2, one of the best in the campground. Just behind us was Lake D.

There are three rows of sites: the two outer rows (A, C, D, and F) have back-in sites, while rows B and E in the middle are comprised of pull-through sites. |
These are the sites on row A. As you can see, the campground is quite open and sunny; it's pretty easy to set up a satellite dish. |
These rigs are on row F. Sites all have level cement pads, tables, fire-rings and conveniently located hookups. |
Here are the pull-through sites in row B. About the only "complaint" we had was the constant crunch of the gravel as vehicles passed by. |

Since our last visit a few years ago, 10 new sites have been added along the lake. There is a one dollar premium for these sites. The only disadvantage we could find with them is that they back up against the trees and loose the afternoon sun pretty early. It would be harder to set up a satellite dish on these sites as well. |

Another view of the newer sites along the lake. |

The newer sites along the lake enjoy the morning sun, but especially in the winter months, the sun sets very early in the afternoon behind those tall trees. |

When we first visited in Dec 2004, the campground had been open for only a month, and the lake shore was still pretty rough looking. |
The office is conveniently located at the entrance to the RV park. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. |
In the center of the campground is this modern building housing bath facilities, a free laundry facility, and a well-equipped community room.. |
The community room is the site of weekly ice cream socials, pizza nights and other social activities. |

One morning we found this dew-bedazzled web hanging from our picnic table. |
