Here you can see how Wild Horse Butte towers over the campground.

Date of visit: Oct 2011

We opted for site 1, a pull-out by the side of the road.

Here are sites 3-5, which are walk-in tent sites.  They are only a short distance from the parking area.

Sites 8-13.  Each site has a steel cabana to provide some shade from the hot summer sun.

Sites 14, 16,17.

Past the bathhouse are sites 22-24.

The bathhouse is modern and clean.  Individual shower rooms can be found with free hot showers.
The park is in the process of installing two yurts.

All around the campground and throughout the park you will find rock formations like these.

There are several hiking trails which take you out to the goblin valleys. This is the Entrada Canyon Trail, a 1.3 mile from the campground to Valley One.
Along the way are all sorts of eroded rock formations, many of which make you wonder how they manage to stay up.
