We're comfortably ensconced on Site 13 at the top of the upper loop. Nice and quiet up here.

One of the several lean-to's available.
There's a small play area with a picnic area, volleyball, and horseshoe pits.
The bathhouse for the upper loop was modern and clean.

The lower loop also has a modern, clean bathhouse.

Gifford Woods SP is located in central Vermont near Killington, just off US-4 east of Rutland. , between Brandon and Middlebury. A major attraction of Gifford Woods is the great hiking in the area; the Appalachian Trail passes through the CG. There are two campground loops: the upper loop has 13 campsites and 7 lean-to's, while the lower loop has 8 campsites, 13 lean-to's and 4 cabins.No hookups, but there is a dump station.
