The B Loop was closed this year, so we had to choose a new site in the C Loop.  Site 47 suited us just fine - more open than most.

Date of visit most recent visit: Apr 2009

During our first two visits , we selected Site B-44.  in 2006, during our visit in early April it was in the 30's and snowing; in 2007, also in early April, sunny and 76 !

There were a couple of vintage RV's parked across from us.

This shows some sites in the C loop - a little more open.

Some more of loop C.

There are 4 loops of sites with a total of 201 sites. Of that, 60 sites in loops B and C offer 30/50 Amp electric hookups, but not water. There are spigots throughout the CG. There is a dump station.

Some sites in the A loop have recently been improved

Each camping loop has a modern bathhhouse.
Near the CG are three new small cabins. More cabins can be rented in another part of the park.  There are also two new yurts.
This playground area is near the campground, and there is another down in the day-use area, about a mile from the campground.

The day-use area features this huge swimming pool on the shore of Hopewell Lake. There are numerous picnic facilities as well. Rental boats and canoes are available. We saw quite a few fishermen during our visit.
