We arrived the day after Christmas to find three empty sites - we chose 24. The Camp Host was away for the holidays, but his neighbor was filling in, and soon had us checked in. Date of visit: Dec 2011 |

Sites 20-27 on left, 28-35 on the right. Most of the occupants are long-term residents - there is a six-month stay limit. New oil activity in the area has brought in workers who are living here. |

There's a modern bathhouse with hot showers. Next door is a small building with laundry facilities and a community room, complete with a kitchen, large TV and a computer. |

Castroville Regional Park, TX
Despite its name, Castroville Regional Park is owned and operated by the city of Castroville. The campground is just a part of the 126-acre park. There are several miles of hiking trails, soccer fields, picnic areas, playgrounds and creek fishing available to visitors.
