Butte View was a convenient stop for us as we were heading west through the Dakotas on US-12.  We had plenty of sites to choose from; we ended up on 43 in loop C .

Date of visit: Sep 2011

A wider view of loop C.  The pull-through sites on the outside of the loop have 30 amp hookups, while the back-in sites inside the loop have only 20 amp boxes.

Loop D is also a 20-amp loop.

Loop B offers 50 amp hookups.

Loop A has 20 amp hookups and seemed to be primarily for tents and possibly pop-up campers.

Loop E is the other loop that provides 50 amp hookups.
There is a small playground for the kids.

The bathhouse is pretty primitive and could be cleaner.  The free hot showers have a pull-chain to control the water.

In many years of camping, I don't recall ever seeing a sign like this.  I guess there are some folks who need to be reminded of the proper protocol.

Impression: Could be kept up a little better, but is quite adequate for an overnight stop.  For railfans, the BNSF tracks are RIGHT beside the campground.
