We were a little nervous about arriving on a Saturday without a reservation, but the camping gods were with us. There were plenty of sites to choose from. We ended up on B-2, on the outside edge of the camping loop. We loved the view out our rear window.

Date of visit: Jun 2008

Sites B-3 and B-4.

Sites B-15 and B-16.

Sites A-5 and A-7.

Site A-3 has a nice view of the tower.

Sites A-14 and A-16.
There is a small bathhouse in the center of each of the two camping loops. No showers.

Right beside the campground is a large prairie-dog community.

After supper we drove around to the west side of the tower, to enjoy the fading light at sunset. A bonus was to find the almost-full moon rising right over the tower.
