Arriving on a Sunday afternoon we found plenty of vacant sites from which to choose.  Here we are settled on site 52 at the end of a peninsula.  Interestingly, while most of the campground is in Alabama and Central Time, the last few sites on this point of land are in Georgia and Eastern Time.

Sites 1-11 are the farthest from the water, which is off through the trees to the left.
Sites 14, 16 and 18 are in a pine grove.

Sites 29-30 are very pleasant sites with a nice view of the lake.

Sites 34 and 33 are open and sunny sites on a point of land.
Sites 38-42.

Sites 46-56.

While there are several small bathrooms without showers scattered throughout the campground, there are only two shower facilities.  One is located in the loop wth sites 37-62 while the other is in the middle of the campground, a long walk from the nearest sites.  The showers are clean and provide free hot water and there is a washer and dryer at each.
There's a large playground near sites 85-96.  Besides swings and climbing for the kids, there is a basketball court and a tennis court.
There are two boat ramps in the campground. You can launch your boat and tie up at your waterfront campsite.
Shelby is enjoying the sunrise from the rear window of our LD.

Amity Park Campground is located on West Point Lake north of Lanett, Alabama.  It's a fairly large park with several camping loops with a total of 96 sites.  When taking these pictures I put over 7 miles on my bicycle covering all the sites.
